understanding, and of loving. Some people allow it to develop, and some do not, but
everyone has it” ( Thich Nhat Hahn)
Mindfulness Based Living Course
With Dorcas Dillon
This Mindfulness Based Living Course is a systematic, evidence-based training in mindfulness. It provides us with tools and practices that support a more enhanced awareness of ourselves and others, whilst also helping us to cultivate greater kindness and compassion. Awareness of our own habitual patterns can in itself help to gain more freedom from reacting in ways that may be unhelpful, thus allowing more choices in responding with wisdom and kindness to the ups and downs of life.
This eight-week Mindfulness Based Living Course was developed by the Mindfulness Association UK, one of the top trainers of mindfulness teachers in the UK. It has been heavily influenced by current neuroscientific evidence and evolutionary psychology.
The sessions will be held once weekly and are usually approximately two hours in duration with a retreat day being held on a weekend day i.e. usually after week six or seven.

and in a very supportive and positive manner. The setting provided a very tranquil and
peaceful environment for the course and was underpinned by Dorcas;s calm approach
and manner as well as her wealth of knowledge on Mindfulness . It was all a great
experience”. (Senan)
“Doing the MBL course with Dorcas was inspiring, her level of understanding and skill
allowed me to be more accepting and open to the purpose and understanding of
continued practice and how important that is. I highly recommend learning this course”
(Anne)
“It was a difficult time for me after undergoing cancer treatment and in recovery along with other challenges in life feeling hopeless. The mindfulness course opened up a new path for me taught me how to deal with my emotions to listen to my body my thoughts and feelings although some of them difficult memories. I became a happier person more content more accepting of my flaws and life’s difficulties. Today I try to live everyday the mindfulness way taking the time out for myself and others been grateful and thankful for the life I have and the blessings I have been given. Mindfulness gives you the tools to deal with the challenges in life which will in turn will set you free” (Gemma)
