Listen, Think and Meditate

With Ani Yonten

If we meditate without prior understanding that is gained through listening to dharma and thoroughly thinking it through, our meditation will remain obscured in the field of projections.

Studying dharma without putting it into practice, we are at risk to become a ‘dharma expert’ with intellectual understanding alone.

To reap the fruit of dharma, it is essential to combine study, contemplation and meditation. (Gampopa)

On a weekly basis there will be Dharma talks that provide an overview about Buddhist topics, which can be summarised under ‘What is Buddhism?’ ‘Why practice Buddhism?’ and ‘How to practise Buddhism?’

We will use the succinct instructions from the “Precious Garland of the Supreme Path” by Lord Gampopa, one of the great forefathers in our lineage, to guide us in our endeavour to gain understanding. They address questions and important points on all the various levels of our dharma path. Questions and contributions from participants are welcome.

The second part of the afternoon is dedicated to meditation, with a short instruction before, and time for questions afterwards.

Starting on 12th and 19th of April

3pm – approx. 5pm

No need to sign up, just come.

Please note that there will be no Dharma talk on 26th of April due to the Tara Rokpa Weekend course

Everybody Welcome
