Dear Friends,

We are privileged to announce a very special premier screening in Kagyu Samye Dzong Dublin of the documentary film ‘Akong – A Remarkable Life’ charting the incredible life and legacy of Choje Akong Rinpoche, co-founder of the first Tibetan monastery in the West, Samye Ling, and the Samye Dzong family, founder of the humanitarian charity ROKPA International, the therapeutic practice Tara Rokpa Therapy, schools, orphanages, and his tireless dedication to helping others until his untimely and tragic death in 2013. Akong’s fundamental message of compassion shines and his example has inspired many thousands of people to continue his legacy to make the world a better place.

This will be a fundraising event, with all donations going to the Akong Memorial Fund, so we hope many of you will attend and give generously. The screening will follow the Tsok practice commemorating the Fourth Anniversary of Rinpoche’s passing, so we hope you can join us for all or part of the day.
